Dhole pack @ Bandipur part I

Its been a long time that I saw dholes at Bandipur in the tourism zone. In fact it was disturbing to me that there were no mention of anyone sighting these amazing predators. This time turned out to be an exception. In the week that I was there I sighted a pack of Dholes numbering 15 individuals.

The pack were crossing the main state highway quite often and quite a few times I saw them. But I was not satisfied. Then during the mid of the week, I was informed that the pack was resting near one of the trails.  I set out in the next safari vehicle with a bunch of tourists whose only interest was in sighting the tiger and the elephant.

We finally saw the dholes spread out in a small meadow near the safari trails. The next half an hour proved to be the one of the best experiences I have had in the jungles so far.
